Because we make the caps of aluminium, there is no possibility of thread galling as in other brands when the coupler is also aluminium. We used the Gammon tapered gland O-ring seal principle that has proven to be astonishingly reliable for the last 50 years in the Jet Test QD ®
There are two different basic models in this series. One has a cap thread that has a 3/4″ BSPP thread and an internal O-ring to seal the testing connector. Air BP affiliates customarily use this version.
The other model has a 13/16 UN thread and relies on an O-ring in the test connector to make the seal. Shell affiliates customarily use this model.
In addition to the two basic models, we also offer each one with either BSP or NPT threads for installation on fueling nozzles. Refer to the chart below.
These quick sampling disconnects are by no means new to the market, and Gammon has manufactured them since 1976
